Initiative 2015 : KU's Strategic Plan
The university is now implementing a strategic plan - Initiative 2015 - that envisions a more diverse KU, with higher expectations, closer ties to the whole state, and fully prepared to be held accountable by those it serves. The Chancellor adopted recommendations from three task forces - Teaching and Learning, Discovering and Innovating; and Working for Kansas - that met in 2008. Kansas Bioscience Authority
Chancellor Robert Hemenway sits on the Kansas Bioscience Board of Directors. The authority was created in 2004 to guide the state in building a world-class bioscience industry by recruiting eminent scholars who will perform strategically selected research and development, constructing world-class research facilities, and funding the commercialization of products and businesses generated by the research.
