Initiative 2015
Last January, we launched a strategic planning process for KU called Initiative 2015. Three task forces were created – Teaching and Learning, Discovery and Innovation, and Working for Kansas. During the spring, more than 60 faculty, staff and students from throughout the university met to discuss these key issues and draft recommendations for addressing them.

Kansas Bioscience Authority
Chancellor Robert Hemenway sits on the Kansas Bioscience Board of Directors.
The authority was created in 2004 to guide the state in building a world-class
bioscience industry by recruiting eminent scholars who will perform strategically
selected research and development, constructing world-class research facilities,
and funding the commercialization of products and businesses generated by
the research.
