Board of Regents makes historic selection for KU chancellor; welcome event on SaturdayTOPEKA - Today the Kansas Board of Regents announced at a special meeting at the board's office in Topeka that Dr. Bernadette Gray-Little will be the 17th chancellor at The University of Kansas. Gray-Little, who will be the first woman and first African American to lead KU, will begin her chancellorship on August 15.

Board of Regents to select and introduce incoming KU chancellorThe board will formally select KU's 17th chancellor this afternoon during a special meeting. After the formal selection, the board will officially introduce the incoming chancellor, the new chancellor will make brief remarks, then the board will adjourn its meeting. Regents and the incoming chancellor will be available to the media immediately following the meeting.
